April is the most poetic month
Apr. 1st, 2012 11:51 amOr rather, National Poetry Month. :)
To recognize and enjoy National Poetry Month a bit more this year, I will write at least one poem a week for the month. I figure this is a goal that fits nicely into my schedule and life at the moment and not one that I would find overwhelming.
Other events of note are
jjhunter's Haikai a day fest and
snowynight's poem a day posts.
jjhunter's Haikai fest is collaborative and loads of fun. Check out the first post, and consider adding your own stanza. It is great fun, and the poems can take on some interesting dimensions and tones as others add to them.
snowynight's poem a day event will focus mainly on Chinese poems, and provides a great opportunity to explore these beautiful works.
Happy Poetry Month! Feel free to comment with your own events or others that you know are going on. :)
