These are really beautiful shots, thank you for sharing them. We have a lot of trees out here in Washington, but none that have leaves that turn such brilliant oranges and reds as you've got back there in Vermont. If I can get myself up to Lake Quinault, I'll take a few shots of the fall foliage along the Quinault River and post them. I really love trees and always enjoy looking at photos of them. :)

I'll have to post some of the pictures I got at Gettysburg as well. Some really lovely trees and flowers as well as some of the monuments and cemetery markers. I love doing nature shots. :)

How lovely! We don't really get anything like that here. Although there are quite a few plantings of European species, the evergreen of the natives tend to water down the overall effect.

The New England region of the United States was the first place I lived that had the full blown autumn colors. Arizona is desert and has its own showings of season, Eastern Washington and Northwest Louisiana were mainly pine and evergreens with some of the deciduous trees but not very many. Much of the east coast regions have the same types of forest, so I get to see lots of lovely color even though I no longer live in New England proper.

They really need to get on that teleportation device. I would love to visit Australia, but the ridiculously long flight is discouraging to say the least.
