Where on earth did the semester go?
Apr. 27th, 2011 10:13 pmTomorrow is the last official day of classes, though some of us have make-up classes on Friday due to the numerous snow days this year. Still only two days left of the semester. Holy shit! Talk about speeding through time. I then have four days to confirm that I have learned something before finals start next Wednesday. The school is nice enough to give us at least one day between each finals. So I have this weekend to focus on Civil Procedure and Constitutional Law. Next weekend to focus on Criminal Law, which is fairly straightforward (compared to the other classes) and is open book. Then I get two days to review and refresh my memory regarding Property law. Then I am done until summer classes start.
Summer classes are organized very strangely. I'm taking one course on Non-Profit Management and the classes are on Friday from 9-noon for eight weeks starting June 10th. I'm also taking Evidence, which is a four-week intensive course (M-R 9-12) starting July 11. I might try to weave some sort of work-study or volunteer job in there somewhere, but I want to make sure that my focus is on these two classes and getting my health back in order. The semester ate my brain and ambition and so I put my search for new doctors on hold. I'm talking it off hold as soon as finals are over.
There you have my stunned and rambling end of semester report. In two weeks I will have officially completed my first year of law school, and I will have survived that year with my sanity mostly intact. Yay!!!!
ETA: I have already registered for both my fall and spring classes next year. Law school really wants you to plan ahead. This is a good thing, but can be a huge pain in the butt.
