Making friends at the Ashburn Fire Dept Open House

My sister volunteers at the Ashburn Fire Department and they had their open house today. We went down to say hi and see the sights this afternoon, and the Animal Control officer was there with his sweet pit bull type dog, Roosevelt. They do humane animal treatment education together. So I got to love on a sweet doggie, and even got kisses.

Yay for getting out and getting to know folks in town while supporting the local firehouse. Even bigger yays for getting to play with such a sweet puppy! Yes, I know it's a fully grown dog, but Pits (and AmStaffs) just never really grow out of their puppy-ness and are big, lovable goofs their whole lives.

Also, you look really good in this picture. I hope you were having as good a day as you appear to look. :)

The various Bully breeds do tend to be big lovable goofs their whole lives.

I was indeed having a good time. Puppy kisses make a whole lot of things better. :)
