Working on this whole resting thing

So I'm ridiculously bad at resting, especially just lounging around and watching something. It sets all kinds of brain demons off. This is probably why I don't actually watch many things, and that when I do watch things I tend to do other things at the same time. But since I am home sick and have very few concentration spoons I am working on besting this set of brain demons.

So far I have watched:

The premier episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. It was just as fun as I had hoped and keeps to the tone and continuity of the Marvel movie 'verse nicely. Plus I just adore Coulson. I've got a serious competence kink. :) I will definitely be watching this on a weekly basis.

The pilot of Sleepy Hollow. I've been seeing a lot of things about this over on tumblr. So I thought I'd check it out. It's an intriguing premise and I love the casting. I'm going to watch the second episode now.

It's really too bad that Pacific Rim isn't out yet, because I'm very much in the mood to see that again. Yesterday I watched a documentary on Scientology, and Hot Coffee which is a fascinating look at the Leibeck v. McDonald's case, the litigation reform movement, and media spin of cases. Turns out that the popular understanding of the case is pretty wrong.

Not sure what I'm going to watch next. May switch over to reading fanfic for a while if I have the concentration spoons.

Hah. You sound like me. I suck at lying around, resting. (See today's to do list in which I think I was overly ambitious because I think I hit the wall and am ready to go to bed now.)

I watched Clueless, ep 2 of Sleepy Hollow, and Castle. I'm watching Stargate (the movie) now.

I vaguely recall the movie Clueless, but haven't seen it in ages. I enjoyed episode 2 of Sleepy Hollow. Still haven't seen Castle. :)

I did enjoy the Stargate movie, though it's been a while since I watched it. Hope you have some luck in resting yourself.

I thought Clueless was kind of dumb. I was really glad I hadn't paid for it. I'm loving Stargate though!

Do you watch Castle? I'm starting to be over it.

Lying down seemed to help. I am going to lie down some more and then hopefully fold laundry:D

I've not seen Castle at all. I do enjoy Nathan Fillian, but haven't really gotten into Castle.

You might try "Grimm" for something that's fun, interesting and doesn't require concentration, if you haven't already been watching it. The same goes for "Avatar: the Last Airbender", if you're as behind on such things as I am.

By the way, about the first 3 or 4 episodes of "Grimm" are just 'monster of the week' type episodes, but the characters start developing after that and the show gets beyond the 'monster of the week/police procedural' format.

I absolutely adore Avatar: The Last Airbender. It's one of my all time favorites.
