Graduation!

My law school commencement occurred yesterday and was a wonderful day. Since my school is small we do not have a December commencement, and they are practical enough to realize that people are not likely to want to return to VT the following May and walk with a class they are not as familiar with. So the basic rule is that if you are going to be done within 2013 you get to walk with the class of 2013. So I got to walk. :D My fancy envelope was empty, as I won't actually get my degree until I complete my fall externship in December. But I got to participate in all the pomp and circumstance, and that was loads of fun. Quite a few members of my heart family were able to attend, and we followed the boring speeches up with yummy dinner at their house. It was an absolutely lovely day.










I got to spend the remainder of the day, and this morning with my heart family, which was awesome. The universe conspired to get me up before 10:00 (amazing for a weekend, especially since I was flat out exhausted). I came home this afternoon and did a bit of packing/sorting through stuff because I was feeling overwhelmed with the thought of having to do it all tomorrow and Tuesday. We will be moving the majority to storage on Wednesday, and if I can't get it all done Wednesday I'll probably return Thursday to clean and pack the stuff going with my to Virginia. My goal is to get on the road by Friday and to drive no more than four hours a day. We'll see if this is actually what happens considering I had a recent antibiotic increase and am dealing with some herxheimer reactions. All in all I am coping though, and very pleased with life. I am very excited about my upcoming internship and move. I just have to fight my move to throw out/donate all the things rather than pack them.
