So I came across this today. Apparently Lana Wachowski, one of the directors of The Matrix series, V for Vendetta, and Cloud Atlas, has come out as transgender. On October 20th she was awarded the Visibility Award by the Human Rights Campaign and gave this amazing, wonderful and inspiring speech. A full transcript of the speech is also available.

An additional note: I totally love her gorgeous pink and purple hair style. Wish I could get away with that in the legal world. :D

I own three of his stand-up DVDs because I just love him that much. And it's always bemusing when I introduce his work to people and they're like "Is he... Wearing a dress?" Yes, and he rocks it better than I do, now shut up and listen XD
