Having kindness towards yourself is often the hardest part. It takes lots and lots of practice. I know exactly what you mean about thinking other people are mad at you. I struggle with that constantly. When it comes to my closest friends it is easier because they will tell me outright if they are upset at me for something (though tactfully). My dearest friends are big believers in transparency and open communication. So that helps some. I'm sorry you struggle with similar issues. I know how frustrating they can get.
