Did all the things today
Dec. 7th, 2013 10:24 pmAll of them. And I am super tired now, but satisfied.
Got several pretty shiny things at a local arts show. I got an amazingly gorgeous art quilt piece by
jelazakazone. You can check out her work here. I got the skull quilt. Wasn't sure whether I was getting it for myself, or someone else in the family when I bought it. Just knew I needed to buy it. Realized on my way home that it is absolutely perfect for my eldest niece, whose favorite color is blue and whose favorite books at the moment are the Skulduggery Pleasant books. I also got a pretty copper wire and green-stone-that-I-can't-recall-the-name-of-right-this-second tree that will go nicely on my wall. And a bar of lemongrass/mint soap that smelled heavenly. All in all it was a very good haul. :)
I then braved Whole Foods for the tortillas I'm allowed to eat (Whole Foods and Wegmans seem to be the only stores that carry them locally, and both are nightmarish busy most days). Then had to stop off at the Giant by my house to pick up the other items I needed (because Whole Foods didn't have niece's muffin bite thingies and I am a good auntie). Came home and ate a snack. Then agreed to go out with sister to get remaining things needed for Christmas presents, because. I have no idea what I was thinking. Both of us forgot about the Wintry Mix forecast for tomorrow. We did treat ourselves to a lovely dinner out at a local Japanese restaurant before descending into the bowels of hell that was Wal-Mart pre-Christmas, pre-Winter Storm.
We survived, but oh my gods there were people everywhere and lines backed up through the clothing department. So glad we got the shopping done, but damn am I tired.
