Summer internship winding to a close
Aug. 15th, 2013 09:04 pmTomorrow is the last day of my summer internship, though not my last day at the company as I will be returning in two weeks to do my for-school-credit fall internship. I am very proud of myself for completing one major project in my three months and getting a whole heck of a lot of work done on another. It's been an interesting and slightly hectic three months readjusting to many things (40 hour work weeks, traffic, living with other people, busier (OMG so much busier!) shopping centers). My health has roller-coastered a bit with the latest hiccup appearing to be thyroid related. As I get the Lyme treated, my body finds it doesn't need so much chemical help to function. So I will end up reacting to medications that I've been stable on for a while. I spoke with both my PCP and my Lyme doc, got my thyroid re-checked, and things seem to be sorted out for now. I'm actually feeling well enough to increase my antibiotics this weekend. :p
On the plus side, I get to go back to Vermont for a bit and visit with my family there (as well as see my Lyme doc and finish moving my stuff). My sister that I'm living with, her daughter and I are going. We'll stop and visit another of our sisters in Upstate New York on the way back. I am very much looking forward to the trip and the time off, even if I will also be dealing with an antibiotic increase. Hopefully I'll have a little more time to be online and do a bit of writing. :)
