Survived 1st month of Law School

Well, here it is a bit over a month since the start of my first year of law school. The past few weeks have been difficult for a variety of reasons. Classwork has ramped up and the workload is hell to stay on top of; my fibromyalgia decided to flare up, which was beyond frustrating; my careful planning surrounding transfer of medical care (moved across the country, so this was a big deal) fell into pieces when my doctor's office had to cancel my appointment and then informed me that the next available appointment was a month further out (this has since been worked out, but my initial reaction was "WTF?!?"). In addition I just discovered that my 12 year old cousin has died due to some strange accident (I'm still unsure on all the details). I've been bouncing around the country and world, and have fallen out of touch with this part of my family. But it is still a shock to realize that the little boy I used to babysit is gone. My heart goes out to my uncle and family. I can't imagine how hard this must be.

Even with all that, I think things are looking up. I got things worked out with my doctor, and my prescriptions have been refilled. I am slowly catching back up on all my classwork and feeling less overwhelmed. I am getting more involved in social activities (like dance class and open mike jam sessions). Of course, being a Monty Python fan, I try to look on the bright side...
