Hi! It's great to hear from you again! I'm so glad you enjoyed it and that the dialog flowed naturally. I thought about trying to write what they ate but just couldn't figure out what sort of fancy food Peter would have whipped up. Lol. And since I was writing this as part of a weekend writing exercise, I didn't want to waste too much time on that bit. XD

LOL see, this is why I take forever to write. I sit there like "Hmmm, what sort of teas were available in 19th century Africa that Rose May would try out?" Five hours later, ONE scene gets written XD

Lmao. I totally hear you there! It's one of the things that writing something on a deadline can help me with because it forces me to decide if I *really* need to describe in detail every little thing. The tea was easy because I just used one of my favorite blends which I know makes a good latte (and is appropriately enough called Bella Luna). But fancy meals are largely outside of my wheelhouse. But writing Chef Peter Hale is a blast, so it's entirely possible that may come up again at some point in my writing adventures. lol

Haha, fair enough! Yeah earl grey, chai, and matcha make the best lattes. Rose May is a tea snob and orders straight teas, though. Which leaves me wondering whether tea lattes were a thing in the 1800s.

Peter Hale seems fun. I love Danny being all "oh crap" when he approached.

Peter Hale is a fantastically fun character. The show's writing is an absolute mess, but my take on him is that he's pretty much a diva. He and Stiles are two of my favorite characters in the show. Though I do like a bunch of the other characters as well.
