Bug bites like this are very scary. Last time I had one this bad was when I was a little girl. That bite came with flu-like symptoms plus the rash, which I am not experiencing with this bite, and was more than likely from a tic rather than a spider (though I wouldn't realize that for many years). It's sore, and the placement of the bite seems to be affecting my finger nerves, but I don't feel feverish or fluish. So it's not likely an acute case of tic-borne illness. I'm visiting my heart family this weekend, so I am in good hands. One sister is a nurse, the other is an EMT.
