That's how I got hooked. Several of my favorite authors started writing in it. And it was being discussed a lot in one of my discord servers. I've been slowly working my way through the first few seasons in the past couple of months and have just started Season 4. And already have some ideas for my own fics brewing. lol
It's got some great characters, and while almost everyone has at least one instance where they make terrible decisions they're all really likable characters and grow and develop as the show goes. Some of the storylines stretch the bounds of credibility a bit, but I personally get so hooked by the human element and the good acting that I can loosen my suspension of disbelief a bit. I also really love that starting in Season 2 we get a recurring child character with Cerabal Palsey whose represented in a very good way without it being inspiration porn. Even better is that the character is played by a young actor with CP. It is a show that will frequently hit you in the feels though, but I keep coming back to it. 🤣
