Yeah, I didn't start law school til I was 31. Had no idea what I wanted to do after undergrad, so worked for a bit, applied to the Peace Corps in my mid-twenties and did that for two years, then came home and worked while figuring out what I wanted to do next. Ended up deciding on law school.

I had a lot of feels at 31 rather than 30, but I did have them. And you're right, no matter how much we've rejected the cultural narrative, it does still get in one's head.
