Poem: Remembering

A counterpoint to Forgetting.

Remembering

Pain,
sorrow,
comfort, joy.
Memories drift
through my mind. Good, bad,
mine. They shape me. I long
sometimes to forget the worst,
but the best would go too. Hauntings
are not always bad. Freedom comes with
understanding rather than forgetting.

Awww, this was very sweet. I do like the other poem more, because I think the poem is a stronger fit for what you're expressing, but this is lovely too. It makes a good counterpoint. ^-^ And it's nice to read the two poems in tandem like I did. I think that offers up some wonderful things to think about. ^-^
